Parents' Orientation

"At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents." Jane D. Hull. St. Joseph's School, CBSE, Bangalore organised the Parents' Orientation for classes Pre-KG to Class 11 at the SJIPS Auditorium on May 30th 2026, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. The session commenced by invoking god’s blessings through prayer and extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the parents who had gathered, the session was gracefully compered by Ms. Prerana B M. The programme was formally inaugurated by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo, Vice Principal Sister Sheena, and the Co-ordinators, Ms. Savita, Ms. Roopa Roy, Ms Jennifer Bernard and Ms Nirmala Briggs. Followed by Ms Tina Brigit sharing an inspiring introduction of the honourable Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo, to the gathering, setting a positive tone and the dignitaries were formally welcomed with a sapling. Our Principal Rev. Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo showcasing a video presentation shared significant insights into the educational philosophy of the institution. who enlightened the parents about the Jesuit values and pedagogy, the history of the Jesuit institutions, and the staff and management of St. Joseph's School. He elaborated on the school’s logo, anthem, vision, mission, and core principles. He emphasized the 5 C’s of Ignatian education Conscience, Competence, Compassion, Commitment, and Collaboration as foundational values. He also discussed the four pillars of education that the school upholds: Learning to know, Learning to do, Learning to live, and Learning to be. The Principal mainly highlighted on the holistic development, assuring the parents “Education & Learning will be joyful and impactful” for their children. Furthermore, Father introduced the key leadership team including the Father Rector, Finance Officer, Vice Principal, and Co-ordinators, recognizing their dedicated efforts in curriculum planning and their unwavering support to the staff and followed by introduction of the staffs. The next part of the session was led by Mr. Martin, Co-ordinator of the Physical Education Faculty. Engaging in a video presentation showcasing the journey of the school and highlighting its infrastructure and facilities was screened for the parents. He briefed the parents on essential aspects such as school rules, disciplinary regulations, safety protocols, the importance of parental attendance at school events, the role of the Parent-Teacher Association, and the various facilities offered by the institution. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sheila Emmanuel, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.
