On May 27, 2026, St. Joseph’s School organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Teacher’s Psychology & Professional Effectiveness.” The sessions were led by Dr. Smitha Baboo and Dr. Jacqueline Kareem, Associate Professors from the School of Education, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). They provided valuable insights into understanding teacher psychology and enhancing professional effectiveness, with a focus on strategies that foster growth, innovation, and impactful teaching practices. The programme highlighted key aspects such as psychological well?being, emotional intelligence, and the PERMA model of well?being, emphasizing the importance of holistic development for educators. In the afternoon session, discussions centered on teacher belief systems, Albert Bandura’s self?efficacy theory, and the teacher identity compass, offering practical frameworks to strengthen professional confidence and self?awareness.
