Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola

July 30, 2026

St. Joseph’s School, CBSE, Bengaluru celebrated the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola with devotion and enthusiasm on 30 July 2026. The day began with a special prayer service led by students, invoking God’s blessings and the intercession of St. Ignatius. Students beautifully narrated the saint’s inspiring journey from a brave soldier to the founder of the Society of Jesus, reflecting on his transformation and values of courage, perseverance, and service. The LKG and UKG students captivated the audience with their portrayal of different stages of St. Ignatius’ life, while older students presented a thoughtprovoking skit on living his virtues in daily life. The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Wilson James Moras SJ, urged everyone to become people of service and use their talents for the good of others. Rev. Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, our Principal, inspired students to dream big and live with faith and determination. The celebration also included the prize distribution for Skills and Thrills winners, followed by heartfelt gratitude expressed by Sr. Brigit, who thanked the students for their enthusiastic participation and their generous contribution towards the Home for the Aged. She encouraged everyone to continue living the values of St. Ignatius and concluded with a short prayer. The programme ended with a vote of thanks, leaving the community with a renewed commitment to live by the ideals of St. Ignatius — striving always for the greater glory of God.
