St Joseph's School, Bengaluru, organized a Capacity Building Programme on “Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms" on 23rd September 2025. The session, conducted in the Computer Lab, offered teachers the opportunity to explore AI resources hands-on and discover their potential in transforming teaching and learning. The programme focused on: Understanding different types of Artificial Intelligence and their applications in education Exploring classroom-friendly AI tools such as Magic School, Mentimeter, Brisk Teaching, Veed.io, Kahoot, QuickDraw, Turnitin, Grammarly, NotebookLM and more Strategies for integrating AI into lesson planning, assessments, and interactive teaching Leadership insights on embracing AI for both classroom instruction and school-level academic strategies Ethical and creative considerations of AI, highlighted through a debate on “Is AI-generated art truly creative or a form of plagiarism?” The workshop was highly interactive, allowing teachers to experiment directly with various tools, reflect on their impact, and discuss practical applications in their classrooms. The sessions instilled confidence in adopting AI for innovative, student-centered pedagogy. The programme concluded at 4:30 PM, under the guidance of Rev. Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, Principal, and Sr Sheena Joseph DW, Vice Principal. It reaffirmed the school’s commitment to continuous professional development and embracing innovation in education.
