Children's Day

St Joseph's School, CBSE, Vital Mallya Road, Bengaluru, on November 14, 2024, celebrated Children's Day with great gusto in honour of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's 135th birthday. After a prayer and song to invoke God's blessing, the program paid tribute to Chacha Nehru.
Children's Day has deep significance as it aims to highlight the importance of children in shaping the future of the country. This day was marked with various activities that focused on fun learning and creativity. Our school organized competitions from Pre-KG to Class 12 like collage, colouring, fancy dress, Nehru cap making, puppet making, poetry, and many more to engage children in the entertaining atmosphere. Cultural program such as singing, dancing, skit, fashion show and beat boxing were captivating for the day.
Our Chief Guest, Miss Sweezal Furtado, has made all Indians proud by winning the coveted title of "MISS GLOBAL INDIA 2024" at the recent pageant in Jaipur. She will represent India internationally in "MISS GLOBAL" the following year. Her cap is adorned with numerous feathers. Miss Sweezal urged the students to find their inner talents. She talked about the difficult obstacles she had to overcome on her journey, which seemed like enormous mountains to scale. That's when she remembered her family, friends and mentors who believed in her.
Rev Fr. Royston Pinto, our Finance Officer, emphasized the significance of Children's Day, expressing gratitude to parents and elders, while Vice Principal Sr. Sheena Joseph reflected on the memory of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on this special day.
The amazing occasion, Children's Day was packed with learning, creativity, and excitement.
