Purpose: To gain practical knowledge about robotics, artificial intelligence, and related technologies.
On 11.07.24 a group of students from ST JOSEPH SCHOOL visited SP ROBOTICS to gain firsthand experience and understanding of robotics, AI, and related technologies. This visit provided valuable insights into the functioning and applications of various technologies and their industrial implications.
The students learned about drones weighing 99 grams, their characteristics, made by the DJI drone company and how drones have numerous applications, including aerial photography, surveillance, and delivery services.
A line follower robot was also demonstrated, which uses an Arduino board, a microcontroller, and motor drivers.
The visit included a discussion on the Raspberry Pi 4, which is controlled using Python programming.
Students were introduced to their unique robot named ROADEO, designed for traffic control. It runs on a Raspberry Pi and uses ultrasonic waves to detect obstacles. ROADEO is equipped with a kill switch for safety and incorporates components such as IR sensors and ultrasonic sensors.
The industrial visit was highly informative and provided practical exposure to the concepts of robotics, AI, and their applications. Students had a hands-on experience. It enhanced our understanding of how these technologies are implemented in real-world scenarios and inspired us to explore further innovations in this field.
The knowledge gained from this visit is invaluable and will help students in their future endeavors.
